You will need:

  • Wooden peg

  • Micador Acrylic Paint

  • Pipe cleaner

  • Craft glue

  • Micador jR. Create It Art Pad - Two ColourMagic

Step 1: Paint!

Take a wooden peg and some red acrylic paint. Paint the whole peg red - except for the round top.

Step 2: Santa Hat!

The next step is to take a pipe cleaner - we have used red to match our Santa but you can adapt this activity to make any Christmas them Peg Person you like! Twist the pipe cleaner into a cone/hat shape - use the top of the peg to measure the largest coil. The hat should sit nicely on top of the peg.

Step 3: Glue!

Using some craft glue - attach the pipe cleaner hat to the top of your peg. The best way to do this is to put a small amount of glue around the bottom coil of your pipe cleaner hat and then press it onto the peg.

Step 4: Santa hat trimming!

Take a white pipe cleaner and make another loop - this is the trimming for the bottom of the hat. You can attach this with glue or, if you cut a bit more pipe cleaner than you need, simply twist and tuck the pipe cleaner at the back of your Peg Santa's head.

Step 5: Cut!

Cut some pieces of paper to make the beard and belt for your Peg Santa. We have used a small white triangle for the beard, a strip of black for the belt and a square of yellow for the buckle. It is easiest to cut out rough shapes and then measure them on you Santa.

Step 6: Santa's beard!

Using a little bit more craft glue, stick the beard onto Peg Santa's face, glue the buckle to the belt and then glue the belt around Santa's middle.

Step 7: Santa's face!

Finally, to complete your Peg Santa, draw eyes, nose and a mouth on his little face and he is all done!
