Let's take a closer look at how this range fosters learning through play

A special feature of a proposed product for the 2025 Victorian Government Kinder Kits is an activity called Emu in the Sky. The artwork was created in collaboration with guest creative Emakie, who is a young, award-winning Indigenous artist supported by the Mirabel Foundation. The inclusive activity asks children to join the stars of the emu in the sky, which has been featured in Aboriginal story telling for years. It focuses on building fine motor skills in children as well as educating them on the Indigenous legend of the emu constellation.

The alphabet featured on early stART Colour and Learn Rolls displays corresponding characters, animals and imagery to each letter. The activity not only teaches children the letters of the alphabet and develops their colouring skills and hand strength, but it's also a great way for them to learn to name and identify other objects, like U for Unicorn!

The Micador jR. Colour and Learn Tablecloth features open-ended educational prompts, like asking what native Australian animals can be found. Children can find and colour in the animals, teaching them about unique Australian wildlife while encouraging self-expression and creative independence.

Why learning through play is important in early childhood development

When children are captivated and curious, they are likely to be more motivated and engaged in the learning process. This motivation is what helps them stay focused and retain information. Play often encourages communication, and involves problem-solving, and cognitive and physical development.

Our early stART and Micador jR. products provide the resources and inspiration needed to grow skills and self-confidence. We are proud to be the spark to grow young minds, and as experts in early childhood development, we look forward to continuing to play a part in supporting children's success.
