Directions for aerosol use:

We recommend you test spray on a sample before you begin. Make sure the surface is clean and dry (for oil paintings, this could be as long as 6-9 months), then shake the can well and hold 20-25cm from the surface at a 45º or 90º angle and spray side-to-side, overspraying at each side. Then turn the work around and spray the opposite way to ensure adequate coverage. Apply 2-3 thin layers as required.

What our customers say

Micador’s Workable Matt Fixative is my absolute favourite fixative to work with. As a colourist who depends on building up layers in various media, this fixative allows me to pile colour onto my pages with ease. It also works great as a protective barrier for mixed media – both to add a little more “oomph” to the paper and to protect the finished results... Bravo on a wonderful product. - Erin

These sprays are brilliant, I use them all the time to protect my artwork! - Dianne L

Love this Micador for Artists Workable Matt Fixative. I use this stuff with my pastel artworks, it’s a life saver. - Matt Baker
